Kmap Added 2001-10-22 Kmap is a QT/KDE front-end to nmap, a popular and powerful console portscanner. Kmap allows quick and easy access to all of nmap's features, with much less hassle. Kmap also sorts the output from nmap into usable sections, so you easily extract the information you want. Veganizer Added 2001-10-22 The Veganizer is a spam counter-attack. It searches the headers of a specified message for all associated IPs and Domains, then sends mail to pre-specified addresses at those servers (abuse@, postmaster@) as well as addresses found by a whois query on the IPs/Domains. The mail sent will also include the original message with full headers. Super Sniffer v1.30 Added 2001-10-22 Super Sniffer is a combination of esniff.c (and all the sniffers derived from it) and tcpdump. It also supports a plethora of other options including DES encryption on log files, user monitoring, forwarding logs regularly to a secondary host and NFS file handle sniffing. It uses the libpcap library which was developed by the University of California, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and its contributors. It uses the GNU regular expression pattern matching library. The libpcap library provides an interface to sniff packets on a variety of platforms including SunOS 4.x, Solaris 2.x, DEC OSF (Digital UNIX), IRIX, Linux, Ultrix 4.x and nearly all the vanilla BSD based systems such as BSDI, FreeBSD and NetBSD. Super Sniffer will incorporate in-kernel filtering using the Berkeley Packet Filter (bpf) on hosts that provide it. This allows network sniffing on busy networks with very fewer packet drops. Good for those major backbone networks. Super Sniffer is meant to be a an all-in-one sniffer, combining all the features of the scores of architecture-specific sniffers around. Super Sniffer will compile and sniff on virtually anything. ICMP Monitor Added 2001-10-22 ICMP Monitor is a tool that uses the ICMP echo facility to monitor hosts, and determine if they are up or down. In the event they are down, ICMP Monitor will notify the system administrator. Xtradius Added 2001-10-22 XtRadius is a freeware radius server implementation and its main feature is that it can handle user accounting & authentication informations via external fully configurable scripts. In this way you can write your own authentication and accounting routines without having to patch the radius server yourself. Srsh Simplified Restricted Shell Added 2001-10-22 Simplified Restricted Shell 0.1.3. Major purpose of this shell is to maintain `not permitted explictly then not allowed' policy on machines which provide shell access to users, which can not be trusted, while trying to keep KISS rule. Of course you should carefully check up and configure applications, which you allow your users to run, otherwise it still would be trivial to break your policy with badly configured pine or lynx for example. John the Ripper (UNIX) Added 2001-10-22 John the Ripper is a password cracker, currently available for UNIX, DOS, WinNT/Win95. Its primary purpose is to detect weak UNIX passwords. cgi-check99 Added 2001-10-22 This is one of the worlds most cross platform cgi scanners, running on 37 operating systems! Even Palmos soon! Will check for hundreds of common cgi and other remote issues. Plus it will report you the Bugtraq ID of some vulnerabilities. Get the rebol interpreter at http://www.rebol.com. LogController Added 2001-10-22 logController allows you to control the size of some files that tend to become too large (logfiles). A config file allows you to define which files to monitor and the sizes not to exceed. If one or more files exceed the limit size, they are automatically truncated to a new user-defined size and the area truncated can be erased, or compressed and stored. Browse by category |
