It acts as a frontend to SSH-agent, but allows you to easily have one long running SSH-agent process per system, rather than the norm of one SSH-agent per login session. This dramatically reduces the number of times you need to enter your passphrase - with keychain, you only need to enter a passphrase once every time your local machine is rebooted. keychain also makes it easy for remote cron jobs to securely "hook in" to a long running SSH-agent process, allowing your scripts to take advantage of RSA and DSA keys. Spocket Added 2002-03-01 Spocket (Swing Pocket) is a Java Swing application to securely store passwords using symmetric encryption. A user can set up one or many 'datastores' of password/username combinations and commit them to disk. They are stored on the filesystem using PBE Blowfish. ShoWin Added 2002-02-26 Displays useful information about windows by dragging a cursor over them. It will also display hidden password editbox fields (text behind the asterisks *****) and can enable windows that have been disabled and unhide hidden windows. Shadow Added 2002-02-19 The Shadow password file utilities package includes the programs necessary to convert traditional V7 UNIX password files to the SVR4 shadow password format, and additional tools to maintain password and group files (that work with both shadow and non-shadow passwords). Secure|Password 2002 Added 2002-02-11 Secure|Password is the latest security tool in the Secure Product line. The focus of pwgui is on ease of use rather than on lots of fancy functions. APassword Added 2002-01-25 APassword allows you to generate either single or batches of random passwords. You can select from a range of character options including: Letters, Numbers, Symbols, Case Selection and more. These passwords can then be saved to disk in CSV or one per line format. At the click of a button the password is displayed in HUGE characters to make it easy to read out to customers or users. IPCop Firewall Added 2002-01-23 The IPCop Firewall is a Linux firewall distro. It will be geared towards home and SOHO users. The difference with existing firewalls is that the IPCop interface will be very user-friendly and task-based. Password Safe Added 2002-01-21 With Password Safe, a free Windows 95 utility from Counterpane Systems, users can keep their passwords securely encrypted on their computers. A single Safe Combination--just one thing to remember--unlocks them all. Advanced Instant Messengers Password Recovery Added 2001-11-02 Advanced Instant Messengers Password Recovery (or simply AIMPR) is a program to recover login and password information (stored locally) for most popular instant messengers: ICQ, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Excite Messenger, MSN Messenger, Odigo, Trillian, AT&T IM Anywhere, T-Online Messenger, Match Messenger, Praize IM, ScreenFIRE. Passwords are recovered instanly, multilingual ones are supported. Please note that AIMPR can recover YOUR lost or forgotten password only, extracting/decrypting it from your own system (if such information is there, of course). So it cannot be used to crack somebody else passwords. Browse by category |
