It's possible to modify TCP/IP fields and also ethernet header working to Link Level. You can send one or more packets together. Mod_security Added 2003-12-23 ModSecurity is an open source intrusion detection and prevention engine for web applications. It operates embedded into the web server, acting as a powerful umbrella - shielding applications from attacks. ModSecurity supports Apache (both branches) today, with support for Java-based servers coming soon. SNMPMonitor Added 2003-12-23 SNMPMonitor is a graphical tool for monitoring SNMP devices. pppusage Added 2003-12-22 pppusage summarizes PPP transfer volumes, number of connections, and (on BSD systems) online time. The data is collected by reading the syslog files which contain the ppp[d] messages. A database file is used to store the relevant data. Certain time ranges (that is: a year, month, or day) may be specified on the commandline. nload Added 2003-12-19 nload is a console application which monitors network traffic and bandwidth usage in real time. It visualizes the in- and outgoing traffic using two graphs. It also provides additional information, such as the total amount of transfered data and the min/max network usage. Firewall Builder for PIX Added 2003-12-09 Firewall Builder for PIX hides the complexity of PIX command line interface and automatically configures options and parameters that usually make manual configuration a real chore. With this module, the same workstation running Firewall Builder can create and manage security policy on Cisco PIX firewalls, as well as on firewalls built with iptables, OpenBSD pf, or ipfilter. Log Watcher Added 2003-12-02 lwatch is a log parser/analyzer written in C with the PCRE library. It is small and efficient. You are able to define your own colors using regexp patterns. The biggest advantage compared to other tools written in Perl is its speed. honeyd Added 2003-11-26 Honeyd is a small daemon that creates virtual hosts on a network. The hosts can be configured to run arbitrary services, and their TCP personality can be adapted so that they appear to be running certain versions of operating systems. Honeyd enables a single host to claim multiple addresses on a LAN for network simulation. It is possible to ping the virtual machines, or to traceroute them. Any type of service on the virtual machine can be simulated according to a simple configuration file. Instead of simulating a service, it is also possible to proxy it to another machine. Distributed Checksum Clearinghouse Added 2003-11-20 Distributed Checksum Clearinghouse (DCC) is a system of clients and servers that collect and count checksums related to mail messages. The counts can be used by SMTP servers and mail user agents to detect and reject bulk mail. DCC servers can exchange common checksums. The checksums include values that are "fuzzy", or constant across common variations in bulk messages PAM X509 Authentication Module Added 2003-11-18 This module provides password-less login authentication on local consoles based on X509 certificates and private keys stored on some personal data holders like USB sticks, Bluetooth mobile phones, etc. It currently supports authentication with a user certificate and private key in some auto-mountable location using supermount or automount, such as a USB stick, floppy disk, CD, SD card, etc., or from a Bluetooth device.
