DirecTV hacker sentenced to seven years

A Canadian man was sentenced to seven years in a U.S. prison this week after admitting he led a sophisticated satellite TV piracy ring that produced and sold thousands of hacked smart cards in the U.S. and Canada.

Mr. Peluso come on do you really believe this? {Peluso says piracy is a serious business. "There's huge losses, really in the billions of the dollars, and they have to do with companies that provide important service to 20 million American families," he says. "These losses affect the financial viability of these companies."} Come on Mr. Peluso I don?t think so; you know what happened that day in court was very wrong and extremely unwarranted. Mr. Mullen got the maximum sentenced allowed and that was after signing a plea agreement with you; he was duped. He could of told you to go to h#$% and would of got the same sentence. The lesson here is not to trust the U.S. Attorney?s negotiations for a plea. He should have taken it to trial.
