Long prison term for Lowe's wi-fi hacker

A 21-year-old Michigan man was sentenced to nine years in federal prison Wednesday in federal court in Charlotte, North Carolina for his role in a failed scheme to steal credit card numbers from the Lowe's chain of home improvement stores by taking advantage of an unsecured wi-fi network at a store in suburban Detroit.

everybody with a wi-fi card connects to some poor unsecured slobs network just to see..., this kid was the one who got robbed of many years of his life for $0 dollars in damage, I agree that he should be punished but 9 years, come on! Sentences for those you steal hundreds of other's identities, ruin lifes, credit and cause bid $$$ damage get less time that this. he neds to fire that no good laywer and appeal. good luck!
