Long prison term for Lowe's wi-fi hacker
Kevin Poulsen, SecurityFocus 2004-12-16

A 21-year-old Michigan man was sentenced to nine years in federal prison Wednesday in federal court in Charlotte, North Carolina for his role in a failed scheme to steal credit card numbers from the Lowe's chain of home improvement stores by taking advantage of an unsecured wi-fi network at a store in suburban Detroit.

Jesus, you are stretching. Why would you assume that the cards are business? People carry all kinds of cards and Lowe's even offers it's own. And if you actually knew what you were talking about, you would know that some of those people have extremely high limits because they are using it for materials to build and improve their houses (hence, "Home Improvement Warehouse"). Those alone can reach into the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
