Microsoft may charge extra for new security software

Microsoft Corp. disclosed plans Thursday to offer frustrated users of its Windows software new tools within 30 days to remove spyware programs secretly running on computers. But it might cost extra in coming months.

So this shouldn't prove to difficult for the authors of spyware... it's going to be a M$ product and will likely fall prey to the same bad programming that they've always put out.

Granted spyware authors should be drawn and quartered in my personal opinion but M$ should be fixing their code to prevent such spyware in the first place.
