Groups fight Internet wiretap push

Flee from the terrorists! Spend more money retrofiting and redesigning networks to be more "sniffable." Put in back doors! God knows that once this is done, the authorities will be the only ones able to wiretap connections, not hackers or terrorists. The terrorists are smart enough to use "advanced technology" but not exploit it? This is typical American Big Brother B.S at it's finest. I want to be "free" from criminals as much as the next guy, but I think we're all aware that the government is by far the biggest criminal with the most resources. Who's to say that this information wouldn't be used to harm Joe Citizen - or government officials. Oh wait, nevermind, spend MORE money to monitor all of the officers with authority to use such systems. Yeah, thats the ticket.
