you seem to be pretty likely to have an anxiety attack yourself. calm down! i think it's silly to get really upset about a hack getting into a game, especially since the spread of the hacks was an accident, not malicious, but it's equally silly to get as worked up as you seem to be about how awful you think the game is and how stupid people must be to play it. playing the sims 2 and actually taking some pride in the work you put into it and the goals you accomplish, however artificial it all is, does not entail neglecting housework, family, or reality. i have several different households that i play when i have some spare time & no interesting social opportunities, and i cheat like crazy in all but one. it's fun to test the limits of what the game engine will allow, but i'm also pleased with how nicely my cheat-free household has progressed. i would be disappointed to discover that my supposedly cheat-free household somehow ended up with a hacked object that tainted my efforts and made me unable to take pride in what i've accomplished with that family. i'd get over it quickly, cuz it's just a game, but it's not unreasonable to be disappointed by it.

however, it is unreasonable to be an inflammatory jerk, unless you're just doing it to inspire a bunch of silly people to stop wasting other people's time for a moment and waste their own writing silly angry responses. it is fun sometimes to play with all the idiots out there. they make such good toys, though their increasing numbers can be a bit depressing at times...
