These are my thoughts. The US Government has changed quite a bit recently. There are a lot of people out there who do not like the use, or even the existance of Carnivore. My first question, do you think the post 9/11 government is going to stop using a tool as powerfull as that? If "I" was the FBI, I'd do just what they are, say the Carnivore is going to be put away, never used again, and do this publicly. But there is a catch...

Rules and laws inacted by the Patriot Act, would give them the means. to work behind the curtin. I would do just as they are, then put Carnivore down in the basement with full access to do what it was made for.

Just my thoughts, and my one question, how does anyone know that Carnivore is really being retired?
