That is all true, but I think that the general public has to take some responsibility for there actions. Lets take the most recent T-Moblie "Paris Hilton" case for example. So everyone in the world has seen your dog and knows what the dogs name is. I have an idea let?s make the password for my PDA/Cell my dogs publicly known name. Get real!!! If we as security or IT professionals don't help these cyber goof's realize that they can't be so frivolous about the info that they want protected, the battle is lost. Yeah industry needs to recognize that there is a problem and address it according to each owned case. But there also has to be some global mechanism that can inform people of there responsibilities as users. Not just at work but in everyday life. They teach kids at school to scream at strangers and to say no to drugs, but information about pretty much anyone in the world can be attained with some effort. This is getting scary now!!
