Tech Teaching In CA
Good article - as a high school tech teacher, I understand what the student's were saying in the article, and that most students have a better understanding of current technology. Like many other issues, however, is the difference between understanding and experience. Just because an adult may not completely understand all of the technology and ways students communicate does not mean they are clueless to the dangers and consequences. Hopefully we as teachers (and parents) will accept the facts that today's students will use as much technology as possible, but need guidelines, restrictions, and leadership. In my opinion, it is an adult's responsibility to be up-to-date on the technology being used, so we can have an intelligent conversation with students while giving them the insight and direction they NEED.
