Considering the fact that NGSCB is at hardware level it sounds like your screwed. Reverse engineers will have an extremely hard time, and what about the average user? M$ knowing your every move? Knowing your information, dictation your OS, eventually even which software you can use? NO THANK YOU. Looks like my dual mandrake/XP will come in handy. Linux is looking more and more promising, and more and more user friendly. Just for the record the Mandrake Hardware detection is fantastic for any Linux version I have seen to-date (Even better than window's in some respects)

I did read about this a while ago but did not realise this was so far in development.

Keep your boxes from prying eyes. P2P will be a thing of the past with this new technology, heavy 'DRM'....... I don?t think so. If I own my music/movies I want to do what I wasn?t with them not what THEY want.

Do yourself a favour and don?t switch to longhorn, don?t hop on the bandwagon... try out Linux (mandrake if its your first time) Its free and easy to use. You won?t miss windows unless you?re a gamer, in which case keep your XP box.
