I do not think you read my previous post. I said, "As with any technology we tend to develop it before we have the wisdom to effectively use what we are building." This statement implies an infant stage of technological development. You cannot say that guns have killed people, only that people using guns have killed people. If guns had not been invented other means of killing would have been. A fire may burn someone or destroy a house but does that mean we fear the proper application of fire? Hitler and other examples are only of humans and have no relation to the benefit or risk of technological development in the human society.

Technology should never be feared, merely man's application of such technology.
