I feel for Mr. Klein and his loss of files. I can't believe, however, that 7 or 8 YEARS of data hadn't been backed up. Hardware failures, lightning strikes, physical theft of the box, etc. could all make Mr. Klein's data unaccessable. And I bet that whatever backup mechanism he might have used will be a good bit cheaper than paying for a file recovery service!

Oh well, lessons learned I suppose..
