Adware makers exploit BitTorrent
John Leyden, The Register 2005-06-17

A row has broken out after a marketing firm was caught hiding adware in files distributed on the BitTorrent file sharing network. P2P applications such as Kazaa have been [a href="http://www.theregister.co.uk/2002/05/20/altnet_wakes_up_as_worm/"]bundled[/a] with various adware packages for some time, to say nothing of the increased use of P2P networks as a distribution network by virus writers, but BitTorrent has been a cleaner environment. Recent developments suggests that may be about to change.

Most people who get stuff off BitTorrent look for data files like avi, ogm, mp3 or iso.... If they download something with exe, com, pif, scr or what not, they could easily delete them w/o issue. As for sites that index torrents that insist you must install thier plugins, finx another site. There are so many better offereings out there, why traffic those.
