UK trojan siege has been running over a year
Peter Warren, The Register 2005-06-17

As a civilian I have seen manual "intelligent" attacks in my IDS logs since 2000/1999, from locations that appear to be China, Israel, and Palestine. Any decent ID analyst will know this, just from statstically analysing geographic locations. In addition to this any "decent" security team with a security indepth infrastructure, and paranoid security people (or at least one or two of those types) would have been aware of this. Its these esoteric attacks that make employing these types worth their weight in gold, literally.

Its a case of the horse has bolted, but at least you know when the horse wants to get back in if you close the stable door. It will make a lot of noise.
