Perhaps, Scott, you missed the issue?

Hackers and security people are supposed to follow some or other code of ethics and rightly so. Why should some large companies be exempt from all ethics in their persuance of profit or even be allowed to break the laws that protect consumers, prohibit mallpractice or protect a nations security?

I have read elsewhere that under some interpretation of existing law Cisco could be sued for withholding information regarding known deficiencies to its product. I leave it to "law engineers" to expand on that.

Still it seems to me that Cisco's efforts to silence not only Lynn has a nasty taste to it...

Others than you have tasted it too... also here in Europe.
