As far as having a bigger responsibility for timely patches, I think Microsoft and Cisco are equal. As for time to fix it before an exploit is released, I want to say that cisco should have been patching it instead of suing Lynn. It probably would have used less resources and caused less dammage. Cisco did screw up and now they get to see what happens when you choose the wrong path in LIFE.
