Katrina's destruction attracts online fraudsters

As chaos and looting continue in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, online carpetbaggers and fraudsters are taking the opportunity to flood the Internet with fake charity Web sites and malicious code tied to the natural disaster.

The flip side of this issue is that some sites that are legitimately raising money for hurricane victims are having their donation accounts frozen - for an example: http://www.somethingawful.com/articles.php?a=3186

This really is a case where usability and security need to come to a balance. We obviously can't have these random scammers floating around the 'net, but we also really shouldn't be shutting people down when they try to help.
