Katrina's destruction attracts online fraudsters

As chaos and looting continue in New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, online carpetbaggers and fraudsters are taking the opportunity to flood the Internet with fake charity Web sites and malicious code tied to the natural disaster.

FBI has information about more than 2,300 Katrina-related sites:

The fact is that "of the 800 the FBI had investigated, 60% were presumed to be bogus."

Now many of these sites has been killed by the authorities.
