Suspected bot master busted

Federal authorities arrested a 20-year-old California man on Thursday, accusing him of creating bot software to compromise nearly 400,000 Windows computers and using his control of the systems to garner more than $60,000 in profits.

The article says "the first case of its kind in the nation". That nation being the USA.

You mention "a british man". Britain is, believe it or not, and contrary to the belief of many in Washington, another nation. Maybe he was convicted in the USA.
