Sony BMG faces digital-rights siege

The criticism of music giant Sony BMG Music Entertainment and its surreptitious copy protection software went up an octave this week as attorneys and law firms readied nearly a half dozen legal complaints against the company on behalf of consumers.

It seems to me that this should fall under the same jurisdiction as now causes Cigarette companies to label their packets dangerous to your health, consumers should be made more aware that their system may face being more easily compromised due to software being installed that _they neither want, nor need_
