HP's Dunn to step down amidst hacking scandal

Hewlett-Packard announced on Tuesday that Chairwoman Patricia Dunn would step down early next year to be replaced by CEO Mark Hurd, amidst calls by critics for her resignation and increasing scrutiny of the tactics used by investigators to track down a media leak on the board.

Bleh. So much for boardroom accountability. It sounds like she was made to walk the plank or be fired. Don't these idiots ever get it. With great power comes great responsibility. If you are going to hire some private detectives to do some investigating then make sure you hire a reputable one, and lay out the framework for the investigation. I mean, after all, isn't she supposed to smarter then the average bear? This is why she was the chairman of HP for crying out loud. At least have the guts to admit to your screwup and resign.
