Mozilla flaws more joke than jeopardy
Robert Lemos, SecurityFocus 2006-10-03

Two presenters razzed developers of the open-source Mozilla browser this weekend at the ToorCon hacking convention in San Diego with claims that the browser's Javascript implementation is flawed, but the lecture appears to have been more stand-up comedy routine than substantiative research.

I would certainly believe that they had initially thought that their 'vulnerability' was correct; which is why they went and did the presentation. Unfortunately for them, they probably didn't look at the issue closely and when it came time to present their findings, it didn't work and to save their hides, they announced afterwards that it was a 'joke'.

Similar to a situation when you call someone an idiot, and the person takes offense, but you back down and say, "Hey. Chill. Just a joke."
