MySpace teams to create sex-offender database

Social networking site MySpace announced on Tuesday that the company has paired up with ID verification firm Sentinel Tech Holding to build a national database of convicted sex offenders, a technology the service hopes will enable it to keep predators out of its community.

Yeah, but that database isn't going to stop the ones who can create bogus accounts on yahoo and hotmail and all those other free email web sites. I know there are a bunch of them that hide behind a fake name and still get on myspace.com. It isn't hard to do.
