In reality, Maynor and Ellch reported three bugs to Apple, one in a Broadcom driver (PowerBooks), one in the Atheros driver (MacBooks), and one in Bluetooth. However, he only corresponded from his personal e-mail address on the Broadcom issue, so the two wireless issues were mistakenly assigned to a single driver.
This has now been corrected.
