Account pretexters plague Xbox Live

When Kevin Finisterre got his virtual guns handed to him in an online game of Halo 2 last Thursday, he called his opponents on their none-too-subtle hacks that skewed the game in their favor and turned the battle into a rout.

THis is just great. Having paid for Xbox Live and Halo 2, not only do we have to put up with continual and excessive cheating, now we run the risk of being victims of online fraud. Between, bridging, modding and standbying, these games are already fully exploited by cheats to the point its hardly worth playing anymore. I'd estimate a mximum of 1/5 games played on Halo 2 are legitimate, if that and now I hear Halo 3 will continue to employ the host box system so thats pretty much written off before it starts. When is MS going to start taking this seriously.
