Brad
John I hear you there.

I graduated with you as you know.

Both John and I attended the same school together, have the same degree and yet are still out of work. I still apply to 20 postings a week on usajobs.gov and other various resources. Both of us, I know for a fact has attended their job fairs.

Now on top of the fact that I have a Masters, I am also Certified GCIH from SANS. I have worked as designing networks and being a system administrator throughout college. While attending Undergrad I studied computer forensics at UCF. I have received calls from agencies stating that they will get to me in about 18 to 24 months due to hiring freezes and backlogs. This is too long of a process just to begin the interviews with.

I now am paying back loans while living with my parents in a small town. Here is not many opportunities, but I am willing to move anywhere. As part of my applications I have put willing to relocate and up to 100% travel if necessary. And those applications that have a wide area for placement under usajobs.gov I selected all areas including all foreign positions and even Iraq.

I am now cashing out my mutual fund to go to Black Hat and Defcon. I will find a job somehow and somewhere. This is my last option; I cannot sit back and do nothing so to speak, it is not my style to wait.
