Foiled by increasingly accurate corporate spam filters, spammers have dumped pictures for PDFs in their bulk e-mailings, according to the latest data from security firms.

So what's next here.

In recent history we've had:

character insertion based text obfuscation

HTML tiny-or-invisble color character insertion

HTML table-based text scrambling

image-based

tiled multi-image based

pdf based..

So what's next.. Adoption of fast-flux web-linking from viruses by spammers? AVI spam? mp3 spam? With all the CPU resources of bot-nets to generate them, the possibilities are nearly boundless.
