TJX employee fired for exposing shoddy security
Dan Goodin, The Register 2008-05-27

TJX Companies, the mammoth U.S. retailer whose substandard security led to the world's biggest credit card heist, has fired an employee after he left posts in an online forum that made disturbing claims about security practices at the store where he worked.

I'll be sure not to shop there again. If this is what they think of employees who are out to essentially protect their company then they must think of the average consumer as a moron. Granted he did disclose this the wrong way possibly, but in that situation who do you tell to actually get change brought about?

I know if they handle sensitive data, credit cards, debt cards, bank info then they are bound by SOX in some sense. Or should be at least.

TJX, this is one consumer that won't be back to shop in any of your stores, until I am sure my information is safe in your hands.
