Hacker suspect to fight extradition to U.S.
Ted Bridis, The Associated Press 2002-11-13

An unemployed British computer administrator will fight U.S. efforts to extradite him to face criminal charges in what U.S. authorities are calling the largest ever successful hacking effort against American military networks, his lawyer said Wednesday.

Ok, again maybe completely off base, but;

The US military should be thanking this individual, he obviously had access, by their own statements and he did nothing more then explore and he made them aware that they were open.

Is what he did wrong? yes, but the blame isn't his alone, surely the military has security rules and regulations; we are talking about an organization that counts every bullet issued and every bullet returned, if a bullet is lost it is the soldiers responsibility. If a computer is left exposed its the soldiers fault.

The US should complain to Britian, hand over the evidence and trust that British rule will take care of it.
