And you have missed the point. ISPs who employ filters are not doing so to limit the packets going through their system. Frankly, ISPs like it when they have more packets traveling their structure. In the end, it means more money for them due to their system being utilized more. What the issue is, is that of animosity. Those filters aren't designed to give a flip about content. They are designed to reject messages from unkown sources.

We have reached the point on the Internet where animosity is simply no longer an option. The time where I can sit on a machine connected to the world and send you an e-mail virus thus crippling your network (and business), destroy your personal life by hacking your credit information or attack a government agency from the privacy of an unkown source is quickly coming to an end. I realize that someones personal agenda is hampered when an entity institutes means of accountability and responsibility. However, all things considered, I'd like more security over the Internet. Keep in mind I didn't say restriction. Sure, securing my credit information and personal life will mean that a Net junkie with too much free time can no longer blaze the Internet like he use to. But, too bad. If we want to get rid of Internet security, let's first too away with speed zone signs, especially in school zones. Let's also do away with the laws about firearms or restrictions on drug. That's pretty much the caliber of issues that we're talking about. To those of you who use to reign havoc and mayhem on the Internet, the civilized world just took over.

BTW, about that pornography comment, I get updated porn lists every single day......
