How do you know that? I'm sure the Senate doesn't.

If they are anything like the rest of the US Govt., they wouldn't even notice someone leaving "Hi_come_get_me" files in their roots. Lamo could have easily downloaded or even took quick peeks at anything, hell, even the NAME of a file can be a HUGE leak. If you found a file on one of the US Govt's machines called "Alien coverup, Part 2", but didn't actually READ the content do you think the US govt. would freak? sure they would.
