Is microsoft trying to compare buffer overflow weaknesses in some open-source software (ie. bind, sendmail,etc) with the gaping security holes in products like outlook, etc?

And could he please explain what security (if any) quality assurance checks products like Win95, 98, ME went through. Considering that they basically don't have any *real* security mechanisms at all...I find this confusing...

I wonder how these people can sleep at night...
