I am very happy that my peers are rebuffing Mr Lipner's baseless comments. The Open Source movement has provided the masses with something that Microsoft has no interest in. Caring, concern and honesty. Those qualities are lacking in MS products and procedures. Anyone who has used MS products professionally know how MS gives greater importance to the advertisable feature set rather than the functional feature set. Anyone who has purchased a NT Resource Kit to get true adminstrative capability or scoured through registry to find the hack that will enable MS to work properly in a given scenario has lived by MS's credo. However, Open Source operating systems are honest, in every way. The good, the bad, and the ugly code is exposed for us to admire or shun at will. The system is ours to manipulate.

Perhaps MS will learn or perhaps it won't. One thing is for certain... I am certainly not the first MCSE to shun their products nor will I be the last.
