I would have to say that you would have to count a lot of the Linux hacks out. bugtraq gets more 'application' bugs than anything. ftpd, bind, and ntp are all 'services' not necessary to operate or network the system. However, if you compare that with necessary components to network a NT/2K box and the hacks for user-side privilege escalation I think that you will find the MS has a lot to learn.
