I think they could have done much better this year. I plan on submitting a paper for next year's conference, so I can do my part to keep the conference clear of marketing (if my paper is well received and I get the chance to speak.) Maybe others who felt the same way could do the same, so we can at least remove the marketing from the "hacker" track entirely.
BTW, Kevin, I recognized you during the conference, just didn't think it was all that appropriate to make a big deal about it (I thought you would have been very tired of it by the time I saw you Thursday morning.)
