Next I suppose Charles is going to tell us that because he has 5 letters appended to his name, he is an expert at all things security. I didn't find anything "untrustworthy" about Kevin's opinion about the RSA conference. He was pointing out a simple flaw, that social engineering (and a little bravery) allowed him to enter the expo hall unchecked.
I was quite surprised he got in, we tried several times after sneaking out of the Marketing filled crap they called the Monday afternoon general sessions (we snuck back in for the cryptographers panel and the SETI presentation, about the only worthwhile sessions of the afternoon.) We were wearing our badges and were turned away (we had a very legitimate reason for entering the expo hall, we wanted to talk with the Litronics folks before the madness of the Monday evening food orgie started.) It was interesting to think that like Kevin, if we had just removed our badges and pretended like we were helping out with the setup, we probably could have gotten in there as well.
