Wow ... what an interesting thread. Lots of themes in play here. Freedom of speech is important. True knowledge or learned experiences(independent of source) always have value. Kevin's points certainly seemed valid.

However I do find myself wondering if securityfocus.com paid Kevin for this mini-article. If so, I would have to question if ethics were considered. It's somewhat like asking Jeffrey Dalmer (sp?) to write a cookbook. We are financially rewarding Kevin for past behaviour which was in violation of the laws of the land.

I think the questionable judgement here would be in any financial incentive that securityfocus.com provided for publication of this article.
