For some reason in the world of hackers, crackers, and security pros (or mixtures thereof) - working with, being affiliated with, or hacking on Government peoples and systems is some kind of LAME status symbol -
To all of my brothers who are in the security consulting or software business, "stay under the radar", forget all those incompetent under paid - know nothing idiots in government organizations, congress, and academia - they are not the end all be all of anything
My advice - relish in your skill, relish in the insane kinda money your making (or should be making if you are that good), relish in making business people sleep at night, relish in protecting the economy and people's hard earned intellectual property
If the FBI or some other jokers do call - tell them what I would tell them - "well im busy right now, i'm finalizing some customizations on a piece of software that i just built and sold for millions - and it'll do a hell of alot more to defending the Internet than all of your task forces
combined"
All other paths lead to nickle and dime contracts, vague bragging rights, and being hung out to dry like poor old "Equalizer"
Truth hurts sometimes...
