U.S. defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld this week directed the armed service to strip military Web sites of information that could benefit adversaries, citing a terrorist training manual and a year-long review of the Department of Defense's 700-gigabyte Web presence.

I agree entirely. The mountains of Unclassified information available on the Internet can paint a picture that would otherwise be Classified and, therefore, place our troops and country at higher risk. Things such as regulations, policies, technical manuals, etc. can be used to estimate what our forces would do in any given situation. These were all available on the net. Much of this information is FOUO and should not be on the net. Removing this material is the right thing to do!
