Now I know where spammers get their addresses 2001-05-31

I am an @Home subscriber who also is a postmaster. I have noticed that I was getting spam on my @Home account in a sequential order as if someone had full all the email addresses.

I even created an account for test purposes with a random 8 character name. It was never used for sending or receiving mail, but it got spam withing a week, indicating leakage of accounts by @home.

complained to @home but they never acted on it. Obviously their security needs a more proactive approach.
