Privacy Statement |
What I don't agree w/ is the definition of 'computer crime'. It seems to be
way to gray of an area.
An e.g., is port-mapping. I really don't think this should be illegal,
but I believe it is (please correct me if I'm wrong). A friend of mine
once received a cease-and-desist notice from dalnet for port-scanning them. WTF? That's not infiltrating them, and unless he was consuming butt-loads of bandwidth w/ packet floods (he wasn't) it isn't impacting their business either.
<rhetoric> I think we need to have tech savy people defining our computer security laws, instead of career politicians or control freaks who care nothing for privacy and freedom. </rhetoric>
