I find the opinions here very interesting. I work in the district for a company employed by Mr. Ashcroft at the DOJ. For this reason I am not sure that my opinion counts. I do know this. I just walked freely past the FBI HQ to mail a package. Then I walked past it again and ate at the skank McDonalds across the street from the FBI. I am sure that place doubles as terrorist cell. Their mission is to kill as many FBI and DOJ employees as possible with the rank hamburgers.

Seriously, I feel that our leadership, including Mr. Ashcroft, are doing their best to protect this contry from the next bit of terror that is coming our way. If they need to read my e-mails or whatever to do that so be it. I have nothing to hide. Do you? Sometimes the price that we pay for freedom is very small and sometimes it is very large. I consider some of the minor privacy that I give up is very small compared to sending my son to war and loosing because we were too busy worrying about our privacy and a police state. Perhaps it is time for a correction and that correction comes in the flavor of a police state for awhile. Ok..Ok..I went off on a little diatribe. Must have been the McDonald's burger.
