By all accounts ex-hacker Kevin Mitnick created only a modest stir when he sauntered into the December meeting of the Los Angeles chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA). He sat quietly, paid attention, and at the conclusion of the meeting joined with some of the other 60-odd attendees swapping business cards, chatting with fellow computer security workers and discussing his plans for his new consulting business, Defensive Thinking. "He wasn't flashy at all," recalls one chapter member, who didn't recognize Mitnick until the conclusion of the meeting. "He introduced himself as 'Kevin.'"

If he wanted to use social engineering on you, he surely wouldn't tell you how to protect you in a book !!!!!
Anyway, i don't think he needs you to get the type of servers you are running, cause social engineering would allow him to learn it quickly from your collegues.
If i had to give my credit card number and that i had the choice between you and him, i'll surely choose him, cause he's certainly the best person to keep a secret and he's so watched that i can't imagine him to do such an error.
Stop dreaming, Mitnick is probably better than all theses fools @ ISSA ! If they don't want to accept him, that's because they don't want to learn their job from him !
He's been a great hacker years ago, and some people think is out dated ! I don't think so. He's going to blow the whole thing once more but this time, he's working for the right side. Get your ass away, it's going to be enormous !
