Microsoft's argument against 'information anarchy' is as self-serving as it is illogical.

Motivation has become the interest of psychologists. I recently read an article (can't recall the publication at present) that was covering DefCon 9. One of the attendees was overheard saying something like "..I wonder how I can hack my ID badge.." From the article, it sounded like the badge was plastic and had a multi-coloured liquid in it that suspended the letters within. When rubbed the letters would arrange appropriately. Different colour liquids and letters meant different access. So if the crackers of the world think like this, then it would seem there is no stopping the "motivation". We may be best to play the game and attempt to stay one step ahead, rather than waste energy in futile attempts to quash their motivation.
