I have to agree with those quoted in this article that, while I wholly respect Mr. Cox and what he's done for the Linux community, this seems a bit like a case of intentionally misinterpreting the law to make a political statement. While I truly disagree with the DMCA, this approach to it seems completely silly. There are much better ways of getting a point across, and certainly ones that are more effective when it comes to changing the minds of lawmakers. Perhaps he's simply trying to avoid legal entanglements, but I find that pretty unlikely. Of course that's just my opinion...I could be wrong.
