Answer to John Gehman and other critics
You should better start fighting for democracy in the country which pretends to be the most democratic in the world (which in the last few months has become about as true as this was in Soviet Union in the mid-70s - I was born there, I know what I am talking about), instead of critizising Alan for trying to stay out of the jail while still improving the os. If you need the info, ask people in canada, or europe, or anywhere, and if you do not mind being arrested, you are still free to publish this info on your website, aren't you?

By the way, it's reminds me of the strong cryptography issue, only this time it's the other way around, and does not do near as much damage... (Tried to import Cisco-IOS with 56 bit IP-Sec support to europe before early 2000, anyone?)
