MS should realize that just like any other product, the public has the right to know if it contains potential threats to welfare. This would include loss of life but also loss of funds, private information, anything that could potentially be threatening to the comsumer. Case in point, Ford allegedly knew of the problem with Firestone tires and failed to let anyone know. They paid dearly for it. It is negligence to know of a problem with product and to withhold that information, thus making MS liable for any loss resulting from said problem.

I would hope that consumer advocacy groups have a field day with this willful withholding of loss threatening dangers within MS products. In fact, this MS initiative should be against the law.
